Byron School District has an immediate opening for a District Maintenance Technician.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB

Performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure that all students, staff, and the community are provided a safe, attractive, clean, and healthy environment for learning and work.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent.


2. Hold and maintain a valid driver's license for the type of equipment to be driven, with no serious violations.


3. Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in several areas of maintenance (e.g. plumbing, painting, carpentry, masonry/concrete/tile, electrical, mechanical, HVAC systems, plastering /spackling, field/playground inspection and maintenance, furniture repair, snow removal by use of truck or small equipment, operation of a skid steer, and minor engine repair). *Seeking strong background in HVAC systems and automated controls.


4. Exhibit a personality that demonstrates personal character and interpersonal skills to relate with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.


5. Possess a commitment to continuous improvement.
