Viking Mechanic PositionViking is seeking an experienced versatile mechanic to join our maintenance team.Basic Function: To perform maintenance and repair on company vehicles, forklifts and other machineryResponsibilities:Build and assemble vehicle components according to requirementsInspect Vehicles, engines, transmissions, etc. and run diagnostic tests discover functionality issuesConduct repairsTroubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely mannerPerform through maintenance on vehicles, trucks, forklifts and other machineryClean and apply lubricantsReplenish fluids and components of engines and vehiclesUndertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc)Keep logs of work and report on issuesSupervisory Responsibilities:Skills:Proven experience as MechanicExcellent knowledge of VehiclesBasic Reading SkillsLifting up to 100 poundsEducation/Training: Experience:Diesel Engine Repair: 5 yearMechanical KnowledgeCertifications/Licenses:Position Reports to: OwnerMonday - Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm 45hrs
